the one thing no weight loss program tells you

Everyone focuses on their weight, but they fail to realize this one simple fact.
Weight changes. Your weight fluctuates daily, and can be affected by many things such as water weight, digestion, sodium intake, hormonal imbalances, and many other factors.
Unless you have to be a specific weight for your job or if you are competing in a bodybuilding show, there is absolutely NO reason that you have to step on a scale regularly.
Now, it is important to be a healthy weight, I’m not downplaying that, however, it is more important to feel good, look good in the mirror, and have your clothes fitting better.
A lot of people let the scale determine how they view themselves and this is an unhealthy obsession I see with a lot of my own clients. I don’t make my clients weigh in more than once or twice a month, instead, I have them track progress by pictures and how they feel week to week.
With dozens of factors that effect your weight, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are gaining fat if your weight is up 1-2 pounds. While maintaining a health weight is important, it is not the end all be all to living a healthy lifestyle.
What is most important is to be nourishing your body with healthy foods, exercising, and living a lifestyle that suits your specific goals and needs.
